KEN Mackie was left counting the cost more than most after Halloween.

The Wauchope local had one of his truck windows smashed out the front of his Wauchope Removals business.

The front window of the truck was smashed by a beer bottle leaving Ken Mackie to foot the bill and clean up the mess left behind.

"It's cost me $1000 to replace the window," Mr Mackie said.

"Not to mention probably double that in lost business."

The High Street business owner was questioning the mindless act of violence and those responsible for the damage.

According to Mr Mackie local businesses are fed-up with the vandalism that he says is giving the town a bad name.

"Everybody enjoys a good celebration but why people ruin that by destroying other people's property is beyond me," he said.

"Someone should take responsibility for these vandals and I wonder if parents of some of the kids out there doing this know where they are."

Mr Mackie has notified police and is offering a 'substantial reward' for any information leading to the conviction of those responsible.

If you have any information contact the police on 000 or call Wauchope Removals on 0407 256 032.
