LAST Sunday our bowling members played in our monthly Wauchope Country Club jackpot triples. As usual a great day was had by all, even though the jackpot of $200 was not won.
Next month the jackpot will be $400, but don't forget bowlers, one of our greens will be out for renovations and the game will be split into a morning and afternoon game, so check the notice board to see when your team will be playing.

After last Saturday's game, I was told that our club legend, Leo Lewis, put a bowl down on the wrong bias, good one Leo, it only goes to show it can happen to anyone.
Although it was an embarrassing moment Leo and his team of Len Odd and Brett McDonald got up to win the day. Runners-up were B. Herron, T. Nikitin and B. Geary.
Friday pairs winners were Brian Eyre and Col Parkes +14. Runners-up Col Schmitzer and Shane Schmitzer +10 c/b. Other winners were M. Gatenby and D. Bentley +10; R. Parsons and P. Hutchby +5; D. Rumbel and R. Rumbel +5; P. Ireland and L. Wills +1.
Wednesday afternoon's game was played in very windy conditions. I believe they had to tie Don Murdoch's beard down so he could see where he was going.
The winners were Sam Taylor, Jim Debenham and Doug Longobardi +4; runners-up Bill Styles, Jim Fancourt and Eric Doyle also with +4; George Bevan, Brian Thomas and Col Quirk came third.
Wednesday twilight bowls was won by Graham Copp, Nev and Ray Rumbel. Runners-up Len Odd, Kevin Ostler and Yowie Donkin. The members' jackpot of $60 was won by Jim Manning.
