King's effort saw him take the coveted players player award and three points in the Dragons' best and fairest awards.

The centre crossed for two tries in the first half and then scored his hat trick try in the second half. While his performance was outstanding halfback Shane Franklin continues to perform at a high level and he picked up two points in the awards.

The Dragons' book ends - Jason Stubbs and Keith Hollis - picked up one point in the awards.

The teams traded tries to the open the contest with King scoring in the 9th minute and Boardies winger Chris Markham responded just four minutes later.

Both tries were unconverted.

But that was the end of the contest in reality.

The Dragons scored another three tries in the first with King in the 23rd minute, and a Josh Henry double in the 28th and 32nd minutes getting over the tryline. Franklin booted two conversions for a halftime score of 20 points to 4.

The Dragons crossed for six unanswered tries in the second half with Franklin 51st, Mitch Johnson 53rd minute, Hollis in the 62nd minute, King 66th minute and James Mumford 71st minute and Paul Galloway in the 75th minute posting tries.

Franklin booted two of the conversions for the final score of 48 points to 4.

Hollis led the tackle count for the victors with 23 followed by Leith Costigan 22 and Robbie Costigan 21 tackles. Stubbs was the best in the hit up department with 20, Hollis 19 and Stephen Robb 15 respectively.
