* Australian Rotary Health Silver Friend Awards to Dr Brenton Schuetz. and Warden Mersey.
* Paul Harris Fellow Recognition to Diane Gilbert, Peta Simmons, Margaret Whitbread, Senior Constable Jason Bentley and Diane Towle.
* Paul Harris Fellow Sapphire Pin Recognition to Patti Berrigan and Paul Froome.
The major recipients of funds raised throughout the year were:
Australian Rotary Health for Research & Indigenous Rural Medical Scholarships $3042.00; The Rotary Foundation $1300; APIA Samoa Playground matching grant $2500; Wauchope District Memorial Hospital- Palliative Care $2500 and includes $1000 raised on the night with the auction of a donated Bill Odd Painting; Hospital Heart Walk Project at Port Base $2000; Soldier On $1883; Hastings Relay for Life $1500; Jim Bruce Prostate Foundation $1460; light to Unite - solar lights for Samoa $750; Coonabarabran Fire Appeal $600; Rotary World Project Vanuatu $600; Lifeline Mid Coast $500; Dr Ray Hodgson - Nepal Surgery Project $500; Life Education Mid North Coast $500; Salvation Army $500; 2 Way FM $500; Hasting Men's Shed $500.
Other beneficiaries throughout the year included Wauchope Scouts, Wauchope Girl Guides, Sing Australia Choir, Wauchope Public School, St Joseph's Primary School, Rolland's Plains Public School, Historical Society Wauchope, Operation Cleft, Wauchope Sports Awards, Hastings Education Fund, the Sydney based Samoan Dance Troop along with many Youth Programs.
The changeover attracted 95 Rotarians, partners and guests.
Outgoing President Patti Berrigan expressed her thanks to all members for their support in not only a very successful year in fundraising but also for their support in continuing to transform the club to make it relevant and inviting to new and younger members.
Paul Froome was inducted as the president for the 2013/14 year.
A great night in celebration of a great Rotary year that has delivered on the Charter of Wauchope Rotary in making a difference in our community, our region and indeed the world.
