THE Central North Coast Southern Division Pennants Semi-Final was played on Monday June 18 between Wauchope A and Wauchope B pennant teams.
A victory for Wauchope was assured and it was the A team that won the right to play the Northern Division in the finals with a score of 4 1/2 to 2 1/2.
The finals will be played on a neutral course once the winner of the northern area is finalised.
Congratulations to all pennants players this season and we are all proud to see Wauchope do so well against all the other clubs in our area.
Finally we got to play the 3rd and Final Round of the Club Championship on Wednesday June 20. It was a bit chilly for the first few holes but the sun was shining at last.
The Club Champion for Division 1 with a gross score of 237 over 54 holes is Jane Horne and for Division 2 with 291 strokes, Anne Portch is the winner.
Margaret Kundicevic took the champion's title for Division 3 with 320 gross. Runners up and nett winners are to be determined. Daily trophies were sponsored by Marion Johnston, Inez Gavin and Pat Smith (Gross) and Chrissie Jones, Jenny Taylor and Cherie Gleeson (Nett).
The daily winners were Jane Horne in Division 1 with both a gross win 77 and nett score of 69 and runner up was Lyn Kelly with 86 gross, 72 nett. In Division 2 Anne Portch was gross and nett winner with 95/72 and Tina Hamilton was runner up in both cases with 97/73, both decided on a countback.
Pam Willis played well in Division 3 to win the gross (107) and the nett (74). The gross runner up was Marj Bird with 108 and nett runner up was Margaret Kundicevic with 76 c/b.
Balls went to players with 78 nett or better c/b.
Nearest the pin on the 4th was claimed by Jo Horton (Div 1) and Margaret Palmer (Div 3) and on the 18th by Inez Gavin (Div 1) and Narelle Quinn (Div 3). Division 2 failed to make either green! Margaret Palmer and Wendy Price both birdied the 4th, Jane Horne birdied the 1st, 7th and 17th and Barb Varcoe also birdied the 17th.
There were gobbles for Narelle Grant (1st), Phyll Barnaby (10th) and Barb Varcoe (18th). This week will be the 3rd Monthly Medal round and putting competition.
There were 4 players in the Friday 9 hole Stableford competition and balls were won by Lyn Kelly 15 pts, and Margaret Palmer with 11 pts.
This coming Friday is the first round of the Timbertown Bowl vs Port Macquarie at Port. We need as many players as possible to try and secure the Bowl this year!
Eighteen ladies played in the Saturday Business Ladies 4BBB competition on Saturday 23 June. The winners with 45 pts were Finola Moorhead and Erica Taig and the runners up were Jenny Smith and Pam Godfrey with 44 pts.
Balls went to Di Molony and Kay Fowler with 42 pts, and Tess Levy and Karen Rumble with 40 pts.
Nearest the pins - 4th Erica Taig and 18th Finola Moorhead. Erica Taig and Jenny Jackson birdied the 4th and Karen Rumble birdied the 17th.
There were gobbles for Jenny Jackson (4th) and Carolyn Gamble (15th). There is a Single Stableford programmed for this Saturday.
