A WOMEN'S Health Day will be held at Wauchope R.S.L. Club on Wednesday July 25, 10.30am-1.30pm.
This is a free event, and there is also free transport to and from Port Macquarie, Comboyne, Pappinbarra, Telegraph Point and Kempsey.
Manager of Wauchope Neighbourhood Centre, Melissa Baker said the event provides the chance for women to make contact with a range of local health services, including ones you may never have heard of before - AMIHS, Mid Nth Coast Local Health District, Community Health, Financial Counselling, Medicare, Centrelink, Women's Refuge, Rainbow Readers, Hearing Australia, the Move Eat Live Well program, Community Legal Centre and Diabetes Educator.
"There will be free pregnancy checks, information on contraception, blood pressure checks, drink checks, information about drugs and alcohol, diabetes checks and information on a wide range of local services," Mrs Baker said.
Bus pick up points are:
Port Macquarie - Flynn's Beach Shops 9.30am; Centrelink 9.45am; Port TAFE 9.55am.
Comboyne - (Co-op Store) 9am; Comboyne Rd Jones Rd 9.25am; Comboyne Rd Oxley Hwy 9.32am; Huntingdon 9.45am.
Pappinbarra Tennis Courts 9.15am; Lower Pappinbarra 9.32am; Beechwood 10.05am.
Kempsey - Caltex Service Station Belgrave St Kempsey 9.30am; Caltex Service Station Lachlan St 9.35am; Telegraph Point Service Station 10.00am.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
All buses leave Wauchope at 1.30pm to take you home.
