The NSW Electoral Commission, Election Funding Authority and Division of Local Government will conduct a joint Councillor candidate information session on Tuesday in Port Macquarie.
In the lead-up to the September Local Government elections, the Election Funding Authority of NSW announced a state-wide tour of Local Government areas to present seminars for candidates and their official agents.
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council Administrator Neil Porter said the sessions would provide another opportunity for potential candidates to familiarise themselves with important information about their role and obligations in the lead-up to the elections.
This will also include details regarding the recent changes in legislation surrounding political donations.
The seminar will be held Tuesday, July 10 from 5pm-8pm at the Emergency Operations Centre, Central Road.
