Raiders 78 defeated Boardies 0
LAKE Cathie-Bonny Hills RLFC defeated Port Macquarie Boardriders 78-0 at Lake Cathie on Saturday.
This win brings the Raiders to 634 points against 92 conceded points for the 2012 Hastings League season.
Multiple try scorers included Jarrod Bruen-Ansell and Joel Mc Fadyen with 3 tries each, Zac Bruen-Ansell kicked 10 goals.
The player's player award was shared by Jarrod and Zac Bruen-Ansell.
The Raiders would like to express their appreciation to the Boardriders for their decision to go ahead with the game even without being able to field a full team.
The Raiders will this week take on Kendall at home.
Lower Macleay 30 defeated Kendall 24
THE Lower Macleay Magpies outlasted a second half surge by Kendall to eventually win their Hastings League contest 30 points to 24 on Saturday.
Kendall opened the scoring after just 11 minutes with a try to Adam Howe and conversion to Daniel Minns before the Magpies returned fire with tries Tom Arndell, Darryle Russell, Ben Jackson and Grant Schubert. Luke Dufty landed just one of the conversions to give the homeside an 18-6 lead at the break.
The Blues opened the second half with a try to Blake Rodgers and converstion to Minns before the Magpies posted tries to Luke Dufty and Luke Moffitt. Minns then scored for the Blues on 34 minutes to leave the score at 30-18.
Just two minutes from full time, Minns scored a converted try to bring the scores to 30-24 but the Magpies were able to hang on for a victory.
Comboyne defeated Hy-Tech Sharks - Unfortunately we did not receive any report from this contest.
However, we are aware that the Tigers won the match convincingly. The Hy-Tech Sharks were short of playing strength but still battled hard throughout the contest.
