A WAUCHOPE woman allegedly caught drink-driving with three unrestrained children in the car will appear in court today.
Police said the woman had been arrested in Allen St, Wauchope, last night after officers saw her swerving across lanes without any tail lights.
Police allegedly found three children, aged 18 months, one and six years old in the back of the car.
None were wearing seat belts.
Officers said the woman, 36, smelt of alcohol and was slurring her words when speaking to police.
When police asked to see her licence she allegedly replied, "Nah, I don’t have one. I’m disqualified."
She was taken to Port Macquarie police station after a breath test allegedly returned a positive reading.
Police said a breath analysis at the station returned a high-range result.
The woman's children were taken home and further police checks allegedly revealed her licence was disqualified and the disqualification period of ten-years had been due to end in October
She was refused bail on charges of high-range drink driving, driving while disqualified and two counts of driving with a child unrestrained.
