THE Wauchope Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit Donations barometer on the front page of the Gazette was given a sharp rise on Sunday night at the Wauchope R.S.L. club when Roger Adams on behalf of the Hospital Auxiliary was handed a cheque for the grand sum of $6500 from the Hastings Country Music Association.

The Hospital Auxiliary would like to acknowledge the generous donations of all residents, businesses and organisations in Wauchope in the raising of the necessary funds to equip the new ward nearing completion at out hospital.
Wauchope has taken on the responsibility in this task and it has been pleasing to see the great number and variety of community involved activities that have been involved in raising the monies now showing over $80,000.
All residents and future residents in the Hastings Valley and Port Macquarie will benefit by having a dedicated palliative care unit at our hospital and all the thanks will be due to the generosity and community spirit of this town of Wauchope.
The Wauchope Hospital Volunteers would like to take this opportunity to express their thanks to each and every one who has and is assisting in this most important project.
