The Dragons began to dominate early in the first half of the first match of the 2014 Hastings League season and lead 24 to 4 at half time.
Tries by Tom Willemsen and Shaun Bannerman widened the gap for the dragons to a 40 point lead.
A try for the Hurricanes brought the score up to 56 to 8 at the 74th minute but the Hurricanes were done for as the Dragons added another 12 to their total.
Tries for Long Flat were scored by; Josh Henry (4), Keith Hollis and Jason Smith (2 each), Sam Cass, Tom Willemsen, Mitch Johnson, Corey Millgate and Shaun Bannerman (1 each).
