A WOMAN was airlifted to Port Macquarie Base Hospital after being bitten on the leg by a snake at a remote property on Saturday.

But the 27-year-old was discharged on Sunday morning.
NSW Ambulance were called to reports of a snake bite at a Lower Creek property, far west of South West Rocks, at about 12:20pm.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter, carrying two paramedics, arrived at the scene soon after.
Ambulance vehicles were also dispatched to the remote location.
There paramedics treated a woman with two puncture wounds to her lower leg, a spokeswoman for Ambulance NSW said.
It is believed the snake responsible may have been a taipan, but this has not been confirmed.
Ambulance NSW could not confirm if the reports claimed it to be a coastal or inland taipan.
Both species of snake are not native to the area.
The inland taipan is known as the world's most poisonous snake.
