Bush Poet Bill Kearns had the room full of laughter with his many amusing poems and also kept the show rolling as MC for the evening, organisers said.
The talent kept going, with many songs from Julie Clarke, Chainsaw Lindsay, Strawberry Jam, Glennis Hollis, Bruce Doherty, Garry Kennedy and Marcia Wells, all of whom were accompanied by the Hastings Ramblers Band.
We must make note of Bruce Doherty's humorous jokes as well - thanks Bruce.
The night was topped off with an auction at half time, with John Corrigan as auctioneer who as usual kept the bids rising in support of a good cause.
The night was a great success for the Hastings Support Group, with donations still being counted after the night giving a total of over $4900.
The group would like to thank all the entertainers who gave their time to perform on the night, sponsors, especially the Hastings Country Music Association, 2WAYFM, Sue and Clyde Stubbs, Wauchope RSL Club, Harvey Norman Port Macquarie, Mitre 10 Port Macquarie and the Hastings Hotel, last but not least our supporters who came in droves to see such a great show.
Raffle winners were, first Annette McCudden, second Kate Styles and third L. Hollis, thank you to those who purchased tickets.
Proceeds for the night go to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service to keep this service a "free to all" service, which sadly on the Mid North Coast is needed about two or three times per week.
We hope you never need to use this service and with the continued support from people in this small community it assists to make it available for an emergency.
Thank you from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service's Hastings Support Group and hope to see you all in the near future.
