The school takes its best behaved students on a reward day once a term and this term it turned out to be a gold-panning trip to the town's celebrated heritage theme park.
The school excursion day had been planned for some time but was delayed by ongoing wet weather, Timbertown operator David Waite said.
Recent balmy autumn days turned out to be ideal for the junior gold prospectors.
The primary school group consisted of seven of the top students from each class in years three, four, five and six, rounding up to 100 youngsters that Timbertown hosted for the day.
"Timbertown did a fantastic job," teachers said, paying for the whole day out - buses, free lunch and free entertainment at the park.
