WEDNESDAY night's Meet The Candidates in Wauchope has attracted around 45 residents.
The event was held in the Senior Citizens Hall.
Organised by the Wauchope Chamber of Commerce and Industry and utilising the Residents Action Network, the event was the start of the official race for the Local Government elections due on September 8.
Unfortunately not all mayoral or councillor candidates attended the event.
Issues covered included, CBD by-pass, the Wauchope Aquatic Centre, the Glasshouse, economic development - which was arguably the main talking point from the night - and council's financial position.
