There is no truth to the rumour that Port Macquarie-Hastings Council has run out of money for the Rocks Ferry Reserve restoration work or that contractors are owed money, the council's group manager infrastructure delivery, Gary Randall, told the Gazette this week.
Council's funding for this remediation work was always constrained and the council is continuing to work closely with the contractor involved to bring this important project to completion, Mr Randall said.
The contracted works will be completed by the end of July, leaving various ancillary works like seating and grass seeding to be completed by council staff in due course.
