This is a wonderful opportunity to visit the market first to purchase your goodies for a picnic in the park.
You can come and talk with the people who grow the produce or make the product and you may even get to try before you buy.
The historic Wauchope Showground, the home of the market, gives this community shopping experience a truly rural feel.
These are just some of the many advantages of shopping at the Hastings Farmers Market.
"You can't get much fresher than this as much of the produce is picked and packed the day before the market.
"Vital minerals and vitamins are still pulsing through the produce and it has travelled from a local farm to the market leaving only a small carbon footprint in its wake. Good for your health and good for the local economy," says market coordinator Elly Franchimont.
Apart from a plethora of local produce and products, there will be musical entertainment by a group of young people playing klezmer music as well.
