WAUCHOPE Country Club member Claire Smith, of King Creek, will be heading off to Hamilton Island for a holiday following the club's member promotion draw on Saturday night.

By being in the club when the draw took place at 6pm on Saturday, Claire won a five-night holiday for two on Queensland's Hamilton Island, including a game of golf at nearby Dent Island.
Sponsored by Wild Oats Wines, the promotion was a great success, Wauchope Country Club secretary-manager Bob Weston said.
This was the members draw's second year and it will be on again next year, he said.
"It was a fantastic night," he said.
All the club's 4500 or so members received a ticket, which went in the barrel for the draw, but they had to be there at the event to be able to win the prize. Claire Smith's was the fourth ticket to be drawn but she was the first member to be there to claim the prize - so the holiday was hers.
