Local landowners are being encouraged to link up with their neighbours to form a group to tackle the problem collectively.
Nick Thorman, senior biosecurity officer with North Coast Local Land Services, said he is already spending a lot of his time in the Wauchope area assisting landowners, and he is happy to talk to and visit properties to help tackle the problem.
If you have wild dog issues ring the LLS, Mr Thorman said, and it can supply baits and help you to use them and comply with the strict regulations that govern their use.
Given the regulations around baiting programs, it is preferable to have a group of landowners link up to work together, he said.
Trapping can also be used where needed to try to keep pest animal numbers under control.
It is likely that the dry weather is driving wallabies into more open country and the wild dogs are following, Mr Thorman said.
Baiting programs are already under way at Birdwood, Bagnoo and other locations.
LLS will work with State Forests and National Parks where their land adjoins private property to improve the collective effort.
"If you are having wild dog problems ring and let us know," he said, "we are more than happy to help.
"We can come out to your property and give whatever help we can."
