The title is an annual event sponsored by Sundial Dental and there were 176 players, including visitors from Kew, Kempsey, Kooringal, Wagga Wagga, Waratah, Palm Meadows, Shortland Waters, Lakeland and Port Macquarie.
The nett winners were Toby Roelandts and Simon Fitzgerald on 62.75, with runners-up Ray Radcliffe/Mitch Sibthorpe and Paul Cook/Ben Pearce on 63.75 on a c/b then Brad Baker and Gary Cook 64c/b.
Around midday a thunderstorm swept through the course from the south-west and play was delayed by 20 minutes. This impacted on the final group, including President Alan, destined to be stuck in the dark until willing spectators shone torches and mobile phones to help them find the hole on the 18th.
Nearest the pins to Ben Pearce/Paul Cook only 20cm away for the second shot on the 1st; Mark/ Norm Harvey on the 4th with 85cm; Guy Callaghan/Roger Hassett only 2.20cm away on the 7th and Doug Currey/John Singleton 1.30 from the 18th.
The Members' Draw went to Dennis Hughes and the carton to Shaun Barrett and Paul Cook. Balls to 68.25.
Last Thursday's winners were Gary Davis, Kel Barrett and Neil Ulmer in A grade; Paul Stewart had 42 to win B grade over Kevin Wilcox and Steve Cain and Chris Kemp 's 39 in C grade beat Roy Lowe and Bruce White.
NTPs to Kel Barrett, Bob Potts, Roy Lowe, Glenn Moore, Quenton Henry, Terry Bernutt, Adam Bell, Al Pamplin and Greg Raffin. The balls went to 34c/b and there were 141 players.
On Sunday an Aggregate 4BBB attracted a field of 57 starters. Terry and Maree Moore beat Dot and Allan Lynch on a c/b of 69, with Alan and Anne Rudd on 67. The weather was fine and the course very healthy. The next Sunday event is the Mixed Foursomes on August 10.
On Saturday, Ross Prince from Hastings Mower Service will sponsor the August Monthly Medals and Thursday's golf will be held Friday as the Ladies WGCNC Annual Tournament will occupy the course all Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
