Bellrowan Valley Horse Riding at Mortons Creek took gold in the Adventure Tourism category and Old Bottlebutt in Burrawan State Forest Wauchope received a gold award for New Tourism Development at the glittery event held inside South West Rocks' most famous tourist attraction.
Owner Julie and Mark Ennor were understandably thrilled with the award.
"To be recognised as the North Coast's number 1 Adventure Tourism business is truly an amazing feeling, "said Julie.
"We pride ourselves on giving the highest level of service focusing on safety, fun and offering a true Aussie bush experience".
The business has received top gongs in 2007, 2010 and 2012 (Silver) for business excellence, being the premier adventure tourism activity in NSW's fastest growing tourism regions.
"We are now in our 12th year of business and have welcomed over 38,000 guests from all over Australia and the world to discover our stunning hinterland from the back of our beautiful horses, "said Julie.
Bellrowan Valley Horse Riding qualifies as a finalist in the NSW Tourism Awards to be held in Sydney in November.
Forestry Corporation of NSW's Manager of Tourism and Partnerships Louise Faulkner said the award for Old Bottlebutt recognises the contribution local State forests make to the region.
"Old Bottlebutt is the Mid North Coast's best kept secret and the award recognises the new facilities we've developed will really put it on the map.
Billabong Zoo also took out the bronze award in the Tourist Attractions category.
The North Coast of NSW is the third most popular destination in Australia behind Sydney (number one) and Melbourne (number two) in attracting domestic overnight visitors.
