The outside undercover area will provide shelter for the ramp on the west side of the hall and will hopefully be funded by a 'Place Making Grant' from Port Macquarie Hastings Council that the WCAC will apply for in September.
An application requirement is the inclusion of 'in - kind support' from Arts Council members and the Community.
"The Arts Council needs assistance from tradespeople/handy people/ and artists who are willing to donate their time, a few hours to a few days to erect the roof, pergola, put up the formwork and concrete the seating area outside, then decorate/tile/paint the seating areas" said Deb Murrell Treasurer WCAC.
"Also if you are willing to donate metal bearers, frameworks etc. for the project please let us know".
An outline of the project has been drawn up by local builder Trish Crick and artist Jo Davidson.
If successful with their grant application, the WCAC will involve those on the committee in the project planning and delivery schedule.
The WCAC is asking its members and those in the community who can help to contact the WCAC indicating what support they are able to offer.
Interest can be lodged by emailing amyhubers@hotmail.com by the end of the month.
