David will be performing songs from his acclaimed 2013 album 'WAKE', as well as a back catalogue of solo releases and scores for film and television. He will also present songs from his new release 'Take the Next Illusionary Exit' (out Sep '14).
Created as a reward for the hundreds of fans who crowd funded his 2013 release, the new album is a wild concoction of curios, oddities, rarities and b-sides. The chosen single off the album is a cover of The Only Ones 'Another Girl Another Planet' which has been a staple of Bridie's live set since he put it on this reward album.
Bridie says "It's a cracking tune and hopefully my version sheds a different light on Peter Perett's magnificent songwriting".
The new release features recordings that came out of the 'Wake' sessions, as well as re-worked tracks from his extensive files including a selection of Bridie's soundtrack pieces from Australian films including 'Satellite Boy' and the adaptation of Tim Winton's 'That Eye, The Sky'.
