The Wauchope Ladies Golf Club hosted its third annual Pamper Day at Wauchope Country Club in June, offering pamper products as trophies in the Single Stableford event which raised $1800 for the Unit.
The day, which attracted competitors from throughout the Mid North Coast, was sponsored by Wauchope GP Dr Warwick Hain and Wauchope party hire business, Bloomin' Beautiful Events.
Club President Jeanette Hardy said the event was a tremendous success as a social get-together and a positive fundraiser for a worthy cause.
"We were absolutely delighted at the response," Mrs Hardy said.
"Each year the Pamper Day gets bigger and better, both in terms of the number of competitors and the funds raised.
"Generous sponsorship meant the trophies for the event were of the highest standards, and thanks to the Lady Members' donations of various pamper products a very successful raffle was conducted, raising the funds to make this donation possible.
"The generosity of our lady golfers, members and visitors, is very gratifying," Mrs Hardy said.
"We are extremely appreciative of the support given to our Pamper Day."
Wauchope District Memorial Hospital's Officer/Director of Nursing, Ann Bodill, said the generous donation had purchased a portable machine to administer medication in palliative care.
Mrs Bodill said the donation was a very welcome addition to the new unit, and would assist dedicated staff in providing quality care to seriously ill patients.
