Local electrician and solar installer, Ged McCarthy of Energy and Space Solutions asked Jamie Harrison of Port Macquarie's Harelec to provide a 1.5kw solar system (panels and inverter) that Ged will install for the lucky winner of the Pedal for Pat Solar Raffle.
Organiser Sophie Love said the raffle is inspired by the Everingham family.
"Those who never knew Patrick Coombes loved him too," said Sophie.
"We heard tales of his cheek, wit, clever comebacks and knew he was a tour de force.
"We loved to hear, see and feel how much the Everingham family loved him; he was a light in their lives.
"Rod, Mat and Josh Everingham are pushing their bodies to heal their hearts and raise money for the hospices and organisations that helped their family when hope was gone".
The money raised from the raffle will therefore be donated to those very organisations; Little Wings, Bear Cottage and Ronald McDonald house.
Tickets are just $5 each or 5 tickets for $20. For more details please go to www.energyandspace.com.au or contact Sophie Love on 6587 4383.
