Branch members had put together information packages for people who may be interested in joining the group, with a brochure featuring the theme," Diversity, Charity, Change."
The branch invited along representatives of long-time CWA supporter Hastings Co-operative to the morning tea, which featured the traditional spread of attractive home-made cakes and slices.
Members had also assembled an historical display, featuring some of the branch's colourful events and personalities from the past.
Also on display were handicrafts made by members, including team-made items, to which four people had to contribute, and which then competed for awards at brach, district and state level.
