Grommets threw down some mammoth manoeuvres in an attempt to qualify for Sunday's finals.
Summer Surf Series event one winner Jared Hickel (Cronulla, NSW), put on another solid performance in the Under-18 Boys, posting an impressive heat total of 14.66. Hickel will face off with Ben Howard (Port Macquarie, NSW), Reef Doig (Burleigh Waters, Qld) and Noah Cooney (Bangalow, NSW) in Sunday's quarterfinals.
