HASTINGS Farmers' Market vendors are often asked to bring their fresh produce and value added product to the market more than once a month. We have decided to do exactly that and hold an extra market this month. The regular Hastings Farmers' Market will be on Saturday November 22 at the Wauchope Showground and an extra market will be held at Bain Park a week later on Saturday November 29. The markets are on rain or shine from 8 am to 12 noon.

The Hastings Farmers' Market is the original Farmers' Market where, for almost 13 years, the best and freshest local produce and hand-made product is being sold direct to the public. You will find Barbushco's National Award Winning Native Bush Foods and East Coast Gourmet's National Award Winning Chutneys and Caramelised Onions. Hopefully Fred and Rosemarie Sidler will have some ducklings for sale and Colin Coombes and Dee Pike will be at their stalls selling chickens for your backyard.
You will find the first of the fresh summer fruits at the markets, such as peaches and nectarines, plums, cherries and apricots. There will be fresh oysters, herbs, lovely large eggs and juicy home-grown pork, beef and buffalo meat for sale. There will be seedlings for your spring vegie garden, tall flowering Louisiana Irises for your flourishing ornamental garden and beautiful cut flowers to lighten up your home. There will be local honey and you're sure to find that special hand-made Christmas gift you've been looking for.
This Saturday the local men's choir 'Blokes Notes' will start off the entertainment at the Wauchope Showground followed by renowned local soulful singer and guitarist Peggy van Zalm. The Kempsey based youth band Klepto Klezm will bring their music to the market in Bain Park the following Saturday.
