The community is being encouraged to be involved in helping to shape the use of shared public spaces in order to for council to continue to deliver an appropriate level of facilities and services to future populations.
The Draft Recreation Plan - which is on exhibition until December 19 2014, maps all current recreation facilities across the region and planned developments for the next 10 year period.
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council Director Infrastructure and Asset Management Jeffery Sharp said it was important for Council to understand the current recreational demands of the local population, and to anticipate potential emerging trends.
"In order to make the draft plan as comprehensive as possible, Council is seeking feedback from local sporting clubs and community groups in order to get an insight into issues and concerns around what is working well and what needs improving," Mr Sharp said.
"The responses received will provide the basis for the Draft Recreation Plan."
If you would like to have your say in person, Council is conducting a series of engagement sessions around the Local Government Area.
Staff will be available on Friday, November 28 in Bain Park Wauchope from 8 -10am to discuss the draft plan with interested persons.
