CONGRATULATIONS to Wauchope's Lady Champion golfer Jane Horne in notching up her third win in the "Jewel of the Coast" tournament at the beautiful South West Rocks golf course on the November 17-18.

Her first success came in 1998 and second win in 2004. Jane was three shots behind the leader after an ordinary first day but fought back well on the second day to card an 80 giving the title by one shot.
In Monday's 18 holes Anne Porche was runner-up in Div.2 gross with 96 while Betty Ezzy won the net with a score of 73.
Mary Harrison won Tuesday's Div.2 with 73net and Karen Rumbel carded a 72net to win Div.1.
Wauchope visiting golfers had a very enjoyable stay and would like to congratulate South West Rocks on the immaculate condition of their golf course and the excellent organization of the tournament of 240 players.
Results for Wednesday's 18 hole Stableford are as follows:
Winner of Division 1 was Leonie Lyon with an excellent 39 points while runner up on a count back was Carol Slater 35 points.
Division 2 went to S. Ward 38 points and Sue Thompson was runner up with 36. N.T.P on the 4th Div.1 was M. Harrison. Div. 2 I. Turner and Div. 3 S. Ward. N.T.P on the 18th Div. 1 went to B. Varcoe, and Div.3 S. Ward.
Gobbles were made by J. Semchyshyn on the 3rd, T. Hamilton the 16th and M.Palmer on the 2nd Ball Comp. went down to 29points.
Lady golfers are reminded that their Presentation night and Christmas party will be on 11th December.
Saturday's Ladies 18 hole Stableford event on 22nd Nov. went to Tracey Kirkman with 36points while runner up Jenny Jackson had a great day with two birdies 16th and 9th in her round of 33points and took the N.T.P. on the 18th.
Karen Styles also had a birdie which was on the 2nd and Jenny Smith gobbled the 10th. Balls went to K. Styles 30pts, M. Smith 30pts, J. Smith 29pts, G. Duong 28pts and D. Jones 28pts.
At the Wauchope Country Club A.G.M. on November 9, Kay Fowler was made a Life Member. It was a very popular announcement and Kay received a great ovation when she was presented with the Life Membership Badge after Wednesday's ladies golf by the Club's Chairman Mr. Michael Kirwin and pinned by Ladies President Janette Hardy.
Kay has earned the distinguished honour by her untiring years of dedication and services to the club and the Ladies Committee of which she is at the moment serving as treasurer.
She is also renowned for her delicious baked goodies and magnificent flowers she produces for whatever function being held at the club.
