The club presentation day began at 9am and it was nice to have Wauchope Country Club secretary-manager Bob Weston and board chairman Michael Kirwan on hand to do the honours, organisers say.
The major winner was Ann Steel, the minors prize was won by Margaret Coulon, the pairs winners were Marie Winter and Krys Flanagan, the triples prize went to Rosie Ansley, Annette Jones and Lynne Reid, the fours to Dot Galbraith, Janet Monkley, Sue Killmurray and skip Joyce Boyd.
Tina Hamilton was the winner of the consistency singles, club select pairs were Karen Lewis and Pat Coombes and memorial pairs winners were Pat Kirkman and Heather Bartlett.
Congratulations to all these worthy winners for 2014 - very well done.
We have quite a lot of December babies celebrating birthdays - Jutta Hall on the 15th, Heather Bartlett and Connie McDonald on the 22nd and Karen Marchment on the 30th. I am sure these ladies will certainly celebrate.
The Christmas raffle was drawn, with Tina Hamilton winning the money tree, Annette Jones the Christmas pudding and Ann Steel the Christmas cake. Thanks to Heather Bartlett and Pat Coombes for the cake and pudding.
We would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and New Year and we will be commencing play again on January 8.
