They are:
Merv Bourke: for his services to sport as a coach and administrator.
“I’ve got a lot out of cricket and hopefully I’ve made some contribution as well.”
Helen Ross: for service to the Port Macquarie community.
“When you are working and living in a community for the amount of time we have been, you become involved and engaged in that community and you want to contribute.”
Mark Strachan: for his service to broadcast media and to the community of Port Macquarie.
“The best thing I’ve learnt was that if you want to feel good, do something for someone else.”
Keith Uptin: for service to the community of Port Macquarie.
“It means quite a lot and I’m honoured and very humbled about receiving the award. Overall I’ve been involved in so many different things and had a hand in helping so many different people."
Patricia Waters: for service to women, and to the community of Port Macquarie.
“I don’t think anyone does any community work for recognition. I think it’s just a case of you do it because you want to do it."
