Following the success of the 2014 carnival (the first in 13 years), the club will once again play host to over 100 competitors on Saturday.
Club members from Bellingen,Forster, Gloucester, Macksville, Sawtell, Taree, Wingham and Port Macquarie will attend the event at the Wauchope Memorial Pool.
Wauchope Swimming Club President Rod Bailey is delighted the event is being held again and sees it as a chance for our local swimmers to improve.
"Wauchope club has more than 20 swimmers competing which is great, "said Rod.
"Our local kids get to test themselves against some quality swimmers".
The local business community has once again got behind the event through some generous sponsorship, enabling the club to pay officials and run the event.
"The Wauchope Lions club has donated $500 and will also man the all day BBQ and donate all profit back to the club," said Rod.
Last years carnival was a great success with proceeds raised going towards a new computer and computerized timers.
Rod says the club has grown in members again this year, due to the tireless efforts of the committee and volunteers.
