This is the 13th year the club has invited hot rod owners from far and wide to attend a weekend of fun in the Hastings.
On Saturday week the rodders will have a barbecue lunch while showing off their pride and joy to all passersby.
The really young may enjoy a chance to get up close to "Fatty the Rat Rod", subject of a children's book written and published by Kendall resident Mitch Oxenborough. Copies of the book will also be on sale.
Older enthusiasts will be able to enter a raffle to win a professional tool box. Hot rods are usually vehicles made in the USA up until 1948. These include Model T and Model A Fords etc, but the Coasters Cruise often includes '60s "Yank tanks", plus weird and wonderful modified cars such as English Ford Anglias complete with thumping V8 engines. Get there early and listen to these muscle monsters cruise into the park, organisers say.
