The boating projects in the Oxley electorate were announced by NSW Deputy Premier Troy Grant, Nationals candidate for Oxley Melinda Pavey and the Member for Oxley Andrew Stoner on Saturday.
Mr Grant said the projects formed part of a total $37.5 million funding commitment to almost 200 priority projects across the State under the NSW Boating Now program.
"This funding will improve the boating experience for all boaters, including those using canoes and other forms of paddlecraft," Mr Grant said.
"The NSW Liberals and Nationals Government is committed to delivering accessible, modern and safe boating infrastructure where it is needed most.
"The Mid North Coast is a boating and coastal hub and it's important its facilities are up to scratch so locals and visitors alike can safely enjoy themselves on the water."
The 13 projects the $1.24 million will pay for are the Rocks Ferry Reserve pontoon in the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council area, six Kempsey Shire Council projects and a further six in the Nambucca Shire Council area.
Ms Pavey said some of the key projects in the region included upgrades to boat ramps and adjacent boat trailer parking facilities, as well as jetties and pontoons.
"This will be a welcome announcement to our local boating community, councils and sports organisations, who have worked with the Government to identify the key issues in our region," Ms Pavey said.
"Some of our local pontoons and boat ramps are in desperate need of replacement or repair and I'm glad this funding will go towards updating them.
"Macksville in particular needs new pontoons and I know the $60,000 allocated to these projects from the program will go a long way to improving access to the Nambucca River."
Mr Stoner said the funding was about giving boaties in Oxley what they needed - better quality facilities and continual improvements in safety and accessibility.
"Close to 2.8 million people go boating in NSW each year and this figure will only increase, so we need to ensure we have safe and reliable facilities," Mr Stoner said.
"Thanks to the feedback received from our stakeholders, I'm confident we have the right tailored plans to meet the needs of boaters in our region."
Transport for NSW and Roads and Maritime Services will now work with councils and other delivery partners to finalise the scope of each project, including funding contributions and timeframes.
The Oxley projects will be delivered as part of the Mid North Coast Regional Boating Plan, one of 11 Regional Boating Plans released across NSW.
It is expected all Regional Boating Plan projects will be delivered by the end of 2017.
