Peter Trotter, careers adviser at Wauchope High School, is just one of many people who will be cheering loudly when the students go head to head.
Peter was the school captain when Wauchope and Cumberland first met 40 years ago - and has the T-shirt to prove it!
Students and staff at Wauchope High School are looking forward to the 40th Anniversary.
On Wednesday, June 24 there will be a parade of competing students starting from Andrews Park at approximately 11am ending at the school to the sound of African Drumming and loud cheering.
The school encourages members of the community to cheer them on and show their support for the local youth.
The competition will commence at 1pm with Junior Rugby League, Mock Trial, Open Girls Hockey (Port Macquarie Turf), Tennis followed by Open Boys Football at 2pm. There will be a full day of competition on Thursday followed by a half day on Friday before the Cumberland students head home.
