The Magpies won 24.16 (160) to 1.5 (11) at Wayne Richards Park in a dominant performance.
Kyle Lynch joined player-coach Munt and Schmidt on the scoresheet with three goals.
Luke Long, Alex McColl and Jon Gosling each kicked two majors.
Stephen Long, Mark Charalambrous and Craig Dicker bagged singles.
The team still got a stern coach talk at three quarter time, but it was a different kind this time.
Munt had to tell his players to stop being so extravagant with the ball and return to the Magpies' usual style.
"If you start carrying on like that against the better sides, you're going to lose," he said.
The Magpies again lent some numbers to the visitors. The match pitted twin brothers Luke and Matt Long against each other.
Matt, who doesn't play for the Pies, ended up registering for just the one match and playing for the Eagles.
He marked Munt.
"He did pretty well," Munt said.
The Magpies picked up a couple more injuries on Saturday. Matt Lill hurt a hamstring and Craig Roberts copped a knee to the back.
The team is at its home ground again on Saturday for a match against Coffs Breakers.
