Driven by Port Macquarie-Hastings Council, the planter box project is a true feel-good community initiative, which involved local children, the Wauchope Chamber of Commerce, Wauchope Arts and the Wauchope Progress Association.
Bennetts Steel created the decorative metal sidings, and Greenbourne Nursery helped source the native plants.
Ten High Street businesses have each 'adopted' a planter box to look after.
The boxes were installed at a working bee from 2-4pm on Saturday afternoon.
