The challenge was combined with a day to raise money for very ill Callum "Angels for Callum" Cordell to purchase a companion puppy for him. Unfortunately, on Thursday night, Callum's angels came to collect him.
The grieving Cordell family said they would be honoured for the day to proceed and were overwhelmed with all the support from the local community. Approximately $3400 was raised for the family, who will still purchase the puppy as planned in Callum's honour.
The club wishes to thank all the local business who provided vouchers and gifts toward the raffle and Crazy Party Hire in Wauchope for donating a jumping castle for the kids.
The raffle was drawn at the presentation on the motocross day and the winners were: 1st Andy Rush, 2nd Alan Forster, 3rd Darryl Darcy, 4th Kim (HVMC first aid officer), 5th Reece Stobb.
The winner of the "Guess the lollies in the jar" competition, kindly donated by Timbertown IGA, was Cindy Burgess.
The day would not have been possible without all our riders, the club says, and all junior riders received encouragement awards donated by McDonald.
The top three riders for each class were awarded with their trophies.
