THE Long Flat Dragons pulled off a good win over the Comboyne Tigers in the Hastings League match played at Comboyne on Saturday.

Big Vance Byles opened the scoring for the Dragons just four minutes in with a try, then Jason Smith scored and, with Mitchell Dick converting, the Dragons headed to the break leading 10-nil.
The second half saw the Dragons resume where they left off, with a try to Corey Millgate.
Mitchell Dick was again on target for the conversion and scored a try himself and again kicked the goal, putting the Dragons in control 22-nil.
The Tigers hit back with two tries by Matt Temple and then Chris Philpson, with Shawn Madeley converting both, leaving the Dragons in front 22 to 12.
With six minutes left on the clock, Jason Smith scored his second for the day, moving the Dragons to 26 points.
Blake Reis scored the last try of the game and with Kyle Debreceny converting, the final score had the Dragons run out winners 26 to 18.
The Lower Macleay Magpies accounted for the Lake Cathie Raiders 54 to 38 in a high-scoring game played at Lake Cathie.
The Raiders opened the scoring with a try to Drew Smith, then the Magpies' Shawn Skinner crossed and with Luke Dufty on target the Magpies led 6 to 4.
The Raiders were next to score, with Bo Wilson, then Drew Smith crossed for his second. Greg Roberts kicked both goals, lifting the Raiders up 16 to 6.
The Magpies hit back with a Trent Brady try, which Luke Dufty converted, reducing the margin to 16 to 12.
The Raiders moved ahead with two more tries - to Dane Lahey and Drew Smith again, for his third. Greg Roberts added the extras, putting the Raiders ahead 28 to 12 heading to the break.
The Magpies' Tom Stevenson scored three minutes into the second half, then Shawn Skinner crossed for his second, Luke kicked both goals and the Raiders' lead shrank to 28 to 24.
Paul Richie for the Raiders hit back and Greg Roberts added the extras - 34 to 24.
The next 20 minutes were all the Magpies', with four tries, the first was by Tobie Malcolm, then two to Luke Dufty and another to Clint McMurray.
Luke kicked four goals and the Magpies were in control 48 to 34. The Raiders' Greg Roberts scored, then Joel McCafferty had the last say with a try and with Luke on target yet again the final score showed the Magpies winning 54 to 38.
Kendall was way too strong for the Shamrocks, running out winners 64-nil in the match played at Beechwood at their big day out.
The Wauchope Thunder had a good win in the Union against Myall Lakes and the Kendall school beat Beechwood school in the first game of the day.
For the Kendall Blues, tries went to Andrew Stokes, two to Tyler Smith, Brad Smith, Ken Young, and four to Luke White, while Alex Pearce kicked eight goals. 2WAY FM Man of the Match was the Blues' Brad Smith.
The other game saw the South West Rocks Marlins winning 92-nil over the Harrington Hurricanes in their match played at the Rocks.
The highlight of the game was Stephen Blair scoring eight tries.
