The Port Macquarie Boardriders took on the Lower Macleay Magpies at Port Stadium on Friday night, where the Magpies ran out winners 68 to 18.
The first half saw the Magpies score seven tries - one each to Jamhl Toby, Tobie Malcolm, Blake Skinner, Trent Brady, Adam Davies and a double to Clint McMurray, while Luke Dufty kicked five goals.
The Boardies' Kliff Foggon scored and Brendan Pateman converted, leaving the half-time score 38 to 6.
The Magpies crossed for another five tries in the second half, by Zac McKiemnan, Charlie Sultana, Jamhl Toby his second for the day, Shawn Skinner and Corey Grigg, while Luke Dufty kicked all five conversions.
The Boardies' Sam Curry and Kliff Foggon also scored, with Brendan Pateman kicking both goals, leaving the full-time score 68 to 18.
The South West Rocks Marlins were too good for the Long Flat Dragons in the match played at The Flat on Saturday, running out winners 64 to 10.
The Marlins' Mick Judd crossed in the first minute of play then, just minutes later, Paul Owens scored and with Owen Blair Jnr kicking both goals the Marlins led 12-nil.
The Dragons hit back with two tries of their own, to Tom Willemsen, then Joel Littlefield, and Corey Millgate kicked one goal, making the score 12 to 10.
Sam Drew crossed next for the Marlins, Owen Blair Jnr converted, then Daryl Thompson scored, pushing the Marlins' lead up to 22 to 10 heading to the break.
The second half was all the Marlins', with the side scoring seven converted tries - Sam Drew his second for the day, a double to Stephen Blair and Owen Blair Jnr, Les Lockwood and Lionel Blair - with Owen Blair Jnr kicking the seven goals, leaving the final score 64 to 10.
At Kendall Showground the Blues put on a great day of fundraising for Bowdy Latham and Five for Kids.
Junior games were played early in the day as well as kick for cash and other events until the first game between the Comboyne Tigers and Harrington Hurricanes, in which the Tigers ran out winners 70 to 14.
The Tigers' Brock Howard, Matt Hensley, Stece Gee, Blake Debreceny and Beavan Castles scored two tries each, and Chris Phillipson, Jason Troy and Blake Reis also scored, with Sawn Madeley kicking nine goals.
The Hurricanes' Earnest Dungay and Rob McPherson scored and Josh Button kicked one goal.
The second game, between the Kendall Blues and Lake Cathie Raiders, saw the Blues too strong for the Raiders, winning 66 to 4.
The Blues' Brad Smith scored three tries, Sean Minns scored two and Tyler Smith, Ken Young, Luke Scrivener, Dale Higgins, Jacob Cook and Chris Hanlon scored one each.
Sean Minns kicked two goals and Alex Pearce kicked seven.
The Raiders' Harold Widders scored their only try.
The 2WAY FM man of the match went to the Blues' halfback Dale Higgins.
