The Trotter brothers, Jeff and Ross, Ray Hillard and Vince O'Brien were among those who gathered for bacon and eggs at Lank Bain Sporting Complex on the morning of the decider between the Lower Macleay Magpies and South West Rocks Marlins.
The Shamrocks beat Co-Op 13-5 back in 1965 - 50 years ago - to win the league.
Hillard said his team wasn't favoured to win.
"They had a party arranged," he said.
"We went out and drank all Co-Op's beer."
Ross Trotter scored two tries that day, Ron Trotter scored one and Wally Roods booted two goals.
