At the most recent meet on the Central Coast, the talented swimmer achieved quite a few new personal best times.
Earlier this year, Phoebe swam at the NSW Country Regional Swim Meet and scored two medals. She was very happy to have been included in the target squad, which gave her a chance to meet other swimmers from around the state.
"The target squad was really fun and a good experience," she said.
"It was a good team building event.
"Mostly all of the girls I hadn't met before so it was good to meet them all."
The 10-year-old is yet to pick a favourite stroke, but has been enjoying backstroke lately. "My personal best on backstroke is 38 seconds over the 50 meters," she said.
"My goal is to make the Australian team when I'm older and just keep swimming my best."
Phoebe trains in Port Macquarie during winter and in both Port and Wauchope in the summer.
Her mum Leanne is justifiably proud of her young swimming ace.
"She has high aspirations for her swimming and she's doing very well," she said.
"I'm very proud of her."
"We are there to support her all the way in whatever she wants to do.
"She loves it and it is good to see how much she enjoys it."
Phoebe watches swimming on television as often as she can and draws inspiration from Mid North Coast superstar James Magnussen.
"Because he is from this area, it gives me the confidence to know that I can do it too," Phoebe said.
"The Olympics is definitely a goal of mine."
