Many of them also got wet, and slimy, at the Sand Mudder event on Town Beach on Saturday.
The event involved just over 20 obstacles along a five kilometre coastal course, which tested the endurance of almost 500 participants. They encountered a range of challenges including a climbing wall, crawling under a net, weaving between poles in the waves, slime, flour bombs and immersing themselves in icy water.
The event was expected to raise approximately $15,000, which will be shared between Marine Rescue Port Macquarie and Headspace.
This Sunday, nippers will head to Flynn's Beach, Port Macquarie for the Mid North Coast branch carnival.
In other nipper's news, board training will continue between 5-6pm Wednesdays at Lake Cathie and 4.30-5.30pm Fridays at Rainbow Beach.
Helpers are also needed for the Carols by Candlelight on December 13.
