The engagement session is part of council’s Engaging and Communicating with our Community program, which is designed to improve communication with community members and provides the opportunity for questions to be asked on matters of local interest.
A meet and greet afternoon tea will be held at 5.30pm, with the meeting to start at 6pm.
Questions are invited from the community to be submitted one week in advance of the meeting (by June 1) to allow council the opportunity to investigate and adequately respond to any issues raised.
Questions can be lodged by completing a form available on council’s website at www.pmhc.nsw.gov.au/communitymeetings or by calling the council on 6581 8111. We hope to see as many local community members as possible at the Beechwood School of Arts Hall next Wednesday.
Battle of the bikes
Rising sports stars will battle it out in the Junior Motocross Championships (Round 3) at the Hastings Valley Motorcycle Club at Port Macquarie this weekend.
This is the third consecutive year the action-packed weekend has taken place at the club’s complex at Wauchope. Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is a proud supporter of the event on Saturday and Sunday, June 4-5.
The event will bring about 800 visitors to the region (including competitors, officials and spectators), injecting at least $1 million into the local economy. Mark the date in the diary; spectators are welcome, with free entry and a full canteen operating.
