A MAN has died after an accident near Blackmans Point on the Pacific Highway involving four cars on Sunday.

It’s the second road death in the Telegraph Point area over the weekend.
The 32-year-old man was taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital in a critical condition and later died as a result of his injuries.
The accident happened at 8.50pm on the highway near Blackmans Point when, according to police, a driver attempted to overtake a B-double truck while travelling northbound.
As a result, the car collided head-on with another car in the southbound lane. The southbound car then crossed into the northbound lane, colliding with a white Hyundai.
Officers from the Mid North Coast Local Area Command, NSW Fire & Rescue, SES and NSW Ambulance Paramedics attended the scene.
Ten people were taken to hospital as a result of the pile-up. A 33-year-old woman, 32-year-old man, a nine-year-old girl, a six-year-old girl, a four-year-old boy and a 16-month-old baby were all treated and later discharged.
A 37-year-old woman remains in a stable condition, and a 22-year-old woman and a 28-year-old woman were treated and discharged on Monday.
An investigation into the crash has begun, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
Meanwhile, a 42-year-old Wallsend man was killed and two others were injured when a car hit a tree at Telegraph Point on Saturday night.
The Wallsend man was travelling in the back seat of the vehicle. He suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Emergency services were called to the accident at 9pm on Hacks Ferry Road, after reports that a Toyota Hilux utility had hit a tree.
The 36-year-old driver suffered rib and abdominal injuries and was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital by Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.The third passenger, a 28-year-old man from Telegraph Point had minor injuries.
