TERM-seal is a do-it-yourself system for proofing your house, farm, fences and outbuildings effectively, in a safe, eco-friendly way.
Invented by local insect expert, entomologist Phil Hannay from King Creek, and industrial chemist Roger Franklin, it has passed strict tests by the Australian Pharmaceuticals and Veterinary Medicines Authority.
The product range is made in a Brisbane factory and is installed in 100,000 homes.
At the launch of the new DIY range in Wauchope’s Hastings Co-op Mitre 10, Ed Caruana from TERM-seal said it stops moisture and termites getting into posts and timber yards, as well as homes.
“We have a product to treat concrete and masonry, and we’ve got bait stations to control termites.” he added.
Hastings Co-op CEO Allan Gordon said the product range was a great addition to their stock because it’s the first time people can do their own termite proofing, in homes and on farms. “It’s a great service we can offer,” he said.
