Kirra-Belle Olsson (Avoca) dominated the first round of the Under-16 Girls, dropping a massive 17.7 heat total (out of a possible 20 points).
The aforementioned score went in as the highest two-wave combined score of the day and allowed Olsson to skip the requalification rounds. Ironically,
Kirra-Belle posted a perfect ten-point at the 2015 Ocean and Earth NSW Junior Titles at Bonny Hills exactly one year ago.
Kiara Meredith (Barrack Heights) earned her place in the second round, taking out Sienna Coulter (Balgowlah), Sophia Chapman (Narrabeen) and Chelsea Green (Taree) with a 13.17 heat total in the Under-18 Girls. Meredith turned heads in her opening exchange performing an assortment of colossal frontside manoeuvres.
Joining Meredith in the Under-18 winners circle was Alysse Cooper (Queenscliff) and Lara Damelian (Bondi) who were also victorious in their opening heats.
Central Coast native Noah Munro (Noraville) put on a dominant display of power-surfing in the Under-18 Boys requalification heats performing an eclectic array of giant frontside turns. Munro posted the highest heat total on the round notching up a 15.16 score.
