An update provided by Quasar Constructions has revealed they are on track for an April 2017 opening.
Business development manager, James Gwynne, said they will continue to engage the Port Macquarie community to keep them informed.
“Eighty percent of all contracts let have been awarded to local sub-contractors,” Mr Gwynne said.
“It’s our aim to continue engaging as many local sub contractors as possible. We want the community to be actively involved.”
Workers are currently in the process of pouring the five slabs for the building, with all to be poured by the end of July.
“Quasar ensured that the first slab closest to the school boundary was poured during the school holidays with safety our top priority,” Mr Gwynne said.
In further developments, car parks have been leveled and filled, and in-ground services have been laid, which include stormwater, plumbing, drainage and electrical conduits.
A spokesperson for Kmart said that retail space adjoining the store is now available to lease.
For all leasing enquiries, contact local leasing agent D.R Munro (Nominees) Pty Ltd on 0438 832 245.
It’s our aim to continue engaging. We want the community to be actively involved.
