He was charged and refused bail for allegedly enticing a child for sexual activity.
On Monday June 6, a woman discovered a conversation of a sexual nature on the mobile phone of her 13-year-old son and contacted police.
Strike Force Bernadette was established by detectives from Mid North Coast Local Area Command, with assistance from the Child Exploitation Internet Unit (CEIU), to investigate the incident.
Police allege the man had attended the location with the intention of meeting the 13-year-old boy for sexual activity.
The man was taken to Port Macquarie Police Station where he was charged with procure person under 16 years of age for sexual activity.
He was refused bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court today (Friday 29 July 2016).
